All the small things...
Brett: wish your MacBook air had the SD card slot.
Me: youre right. I should have gotten the 13" because it suits your needs better.
Brett: damn straight.
Me: but if I got the 13" i'd be breaking my trend of having small things.
Brett: uhm, I broke your trend of having small things.

Breakfast in bed
B: can you bring me breakfast again tomorrow like you did this morning?
Me: if I feel like it. It's not the same if you have to ask.
B: it is the same, because I get to eat breakfast in bed two days in a row.
Me: yeah but I'm supposed to just do it, for it to be special...not be asked.
B: ok then can you just do it, tomorrow? I want a bagel.
I hope I don’t get used to feeling this way.

Ownership
I take ownership of my failures. I can look at a bad score and say, “yeah, sounds about right with how little I tried.”
And I don’t expect much out of work because I can own my laziness more than any long lasting desire to rub the backs it takes to move up.
And if I look at a social burnt bridge, I can easily say, “yep. I did 50% of that damage.” 50% because I can...
Awesome
Painting teacher comes around and says she isn’t thrilled with my painting. I paint over it in solid red. She comes back and says with conviction, “that is much better.”
